Doula - Amy Machado

Hi! My name is Amy Tirrell Machado. I am a doula, that lives in Reading, but serves any where up to an hour away from me.

I am married to my wonderful husband Eddie, and have 5 beautiful children, Ellianna, Quinton, Cecillia, Evellyn and Adaline. I have had 2 hospital births, 1 birth center water birth and 2 home water births. My dream to have a drug free birth with my son lead me to look into doula work. ( But it would still be 3 years before this would happen!!)

I love the birth process, and love working with new families.

I started out my doula work, in 2005, only wanting to do births. But in the years since I have started, I have found many rewarding outlets for my passion. I love finding new ways to help families, and offer many classes and workshops to help throughout your pregnancy, birth, post partum period and beyond!

I firmly believe every woman deserves to have the birth that she dreams of. I do not care if you want to have a more medical or more holistic birth. My job is to make sure you are educated in your choices and to support you no matter what.

I am certified with Childbirth International. I am also certified in CPR/First Aid/ AED.
